looking at that slip of paper containing my company designation n that letter N in the middle,I felt nothing until the guy beside me cursed and swore at his unluckiness at being posted to Ninja Company. I guess I was'nt so lucky after all, but oh well, might as well enjoy my tekan aka 'training' there. After all, nth could be done now except to follow the flow..Then we just had lunch with our parents before bidding them farewell. Saw Derek who was marching to the cookhouse. Then saw our OC with his red beret n two stripes on his shoulder.Great, I guess that makes for a lot of 'training'. Well, training is tough, especially when I couldnt do even 5 standard pushups out of 20 given pushups during confinement week. But luckily I have great section mates who really help each other. Unluckily, I got appointed as toilet IC, aka Head toilet cleaner, which was quite bad because I get scolded by sergeants everyday. Well, guess I have to learn to put up with it..The best part of confinement week would be after the end of 3 km route marches wearing our vests with a full waterbag n helmet n our rifle. Well, route march was tough, esp with a commando OC who walks at our running speed n I completed 4 such marches in 2 wks, when other companies in the leadership batch are doing exactly the opp. And yes, I am married, with a m-16 rifle on Tuesday. Guess I have to take gd care of her/it.
